Recently, from the Foreign Affairs Office of the Henen Provincial Party Committee came the good news that our college won the second prize in the “South Korea Gyeongsangbuk-do-China Sister City Painting and Video Contest”.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Korea, North Gyeongsang Province of South Korea and five Chinese sister provinces, Henan, Shaanxi, Hunan, Ningxia and Jilin, jointly held the “South Korea Gyeongsangbuk-do-China Sister City Painting and Video Contest”. After receiving the notice from the Foreign Affairs Office of the Provincial Party Committee and the Municipal Party Committee, the Science and Technology Foreign Affairs Department of our college attached great importance to it and made positive preparations. After extensive collection and careful screening, nearly 10 paintings and video works were submitted, among which the video work “Taste Jiyuan” won the second prize, the highest award in Henan Province.

Themed around “Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic Relations between China and South Korea”, “Introducing the local culture” and “Korea / China in my eyes”, the entries of this contest vividly interpreted the friendship between Chinese and South Korean teenagers and enhanced the interest of both sides in each other’s culture. The winning works were exhibited in the Cultural Center of the World Expo in Gyeongju, South Korea from August to September, which not only effectively publicized Jiyuan and our college, but also made positive contributions to the service of Sino-South Korean friendship.
